C & M Transport was established back in 2002 when Chris Williams from Pentre, Broughton decided to run trucks rather than sell them.

 

The family run business is one of North Wales most successful hauliers. Chris and Marilyn’s son, Jonno is now the companies operations manager and oversees the day to day running of the company. Whilst Chris' grandchildren inspire the way the business is shaped and they can often be seen mucking in on site and as well as at shows and events.

 

C and M Transport is a market-leading provider of temperature-controlled services in the UK and Europe. Utilising their industry experience in this sector they are able to provide extensive supply chain solutions in the Food and Drink Industry. The company can transport dry, chilled, ambient or frozen goods on secure refrigerated vehicles, carrying goods from 1 small box to 26 pallets.

 

Since the pandemic in 2020, the business has gone from strength to strength and steadily expanded. This was largely due to the extra demand in the transportation of both food and pharmaceuticals. The fleet now boasts an impressive range of trucks, trailers and temperature-controlled vans and to Jonno’s children’s delight, a battery powered, scaled rig Scania S Series with a customised fridge trailer. All their trucks and trailers are satellite-tracked with additional temperature monitoring. The trailers are top spec fridges including Chereau, Schmitz, Lamberets and a liveried curtainsider.

 

Three of the most recent additions to the fleet include a Daf XG plus 530, a MAN TGX 580 and a Scania S500.

Located in Wrexham the company have a well kept and well equip site. Alongside 3 hardstanding yards, the site houses an office, driver facilities including staff room and showers, on site truck wash and a warehouse.

 

Attention to detail and determination to do things properly are at the heart of C and M. Drivers are hand-picked to ensure they’re the right fit for customers and teamwork is the fabric of the company. The company also hosts social events for the team to show their appreciation for their dedication and hard-work and encourages drivers to attend shows throughout the summer months.

 

As a family-run business, C and M are also passionate about giving back to the community. As such, they sponsor various local sports teams and worthwhile causes across the local community. The company is passionate about showcasing the talents of local artists and sports clubs with artwork on many of their trailers. It's the little touches they can provide that help shape and encourage the future generations.

 

The company also celebrates its own achievements and has been proud to win several awards over the years at shows up and down the country. Having a dedicated team behind them, with drivers who not only take pride in not only their work, but the vehicles they drive really does help them stand out as a fleet.
