As the sun was shining over The Hollies Truckstop, a beautiful array of vintage trucks, and the odd modern vehicle started to roll in. All were greeted by a crowd of enthusiasts and photographers admiring each one in turn. Over the next couple of hours a total of 162 trucks arrived and parked up. As a young child Tom used to sit on the hill, which his parents farmed in the Welsh countryside, and watched over to the quarry in the distance. He loved the hustle and bustle of the trucks going in and out and the diggers and machinery on site. His dream was to one day be a truck driver to the quarry.
