Built by drivers, for drivers, Globe Truckers UK is a charity dedicated to supporting people working within the HGV industry when life takes an unexpected turn.

Originally established in 2019, the charity was created to help injured and disabled drivers who had found themselves falling through the gaps in the support system. Sadly, this is a situation the charity’s founders understand all too well, having experienced first-hand the difficulties of trying to access help during challenging times.

Charity founder Andy Tustian explains:

“We at Globe Truckers UK have personally struggled to access to any help through no fault of our own and were left feeling like the transport industry had turned its back on us in our darkest hour, so we understand the struggles first hand.”

​

The charity recognises that hardship can affect anyone working in the HGV industry, whether through financial difficulties, health problems or personal circumstances. Globe Truckers UK is there to offer practical help and support when it is needed most.

​

Working alongside a network of external agencies and organisations, the charity can also signpost people to specialist support where it cannot help directly.

Importantly, support isn't limited to drivers. Globe Truckers UK is there for anyone working within the HGV industry, including drivers, mechanics, warehouse staff and office-based employees.
