R & R Recovery are a Family-run, independent business which was established back in 2015. From small beginnings in Telford, they now pride themselves on being able to offer a high level of vehicle transport and garage service across a wider area.

The business runs from 3 sites, the original in Telford, one in the market town of Oswestry and their most recent expansion into Mid Wales, with a depot in LLanidloes near Newtown. The expansion of sites not only allows them to now cover a much wider area, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Mid-Wales, it has also allowed them to take on new contracts with external agencies such as Dyfed-Powys Police force. Partnerships like this have allowed them to not only gain wider recognition for their work, but also provides fresh new challenges in the work they undertake, something the team embrace and excel at.

Over the last few years they have worked hard to build a reputation within the industry for being able to cover an extensive range of roadside emergencies in a safe and professional manner, whilst still retaining a personal touch and caring approach to every situation. From small jobs to more complex challenges the team never comprise their professionalism and welcome jobs of any size, every customer is important to them and treated the same.

R&R now have a strong fleet of 25 vehicles which includes services vans as well as a range of trucks. All sporting the distinctive orange, white and grey livery. The fleet includes a 7t Iveco Daily, with J&J alloy super low approach tilt and slide, this particular truck plays a vital part in many of the day to day recoveries as the manual tilt and slide is invaluable for a whole host of different jobs and different situations.

This runs alongside a 16t Renault with Dyson super low approach twin deck with a 5t payload. Their most recent fleet addition is an impressive heavy 32t Iveco Stralis with Brimec heavy underlift with twin winches on an extending boom and rear stiff legs. This is a valuable addition to the fleet and is capable of recovering a fully loaded artic, which now opens up even more opportunities for the business.

In some situations however full recovery can be avoided, this is where the teams roadside assistance & commercial service vans come into their own. Each is specially equipped to give the best possible chance of repair on the roadside and avoiding the need for a full recovery. With additional tools and spare parts, accompanied by skilled and experienced mechanics, their aim it so get customers back on the road quickly and efficiently. Less time, less hassle and ultimately less cost for the customer.

For those instances where recovery is still needed R&R's versatile and varied fleet is perfect for tackling a wide range of recovery situations meaning people are never left stranded at the roadside for longer than needs be. The fleet is fully equipped to recover vehicles up to 3500kg and all transportation is comprehensively insured against damage in transit and covered by their Goods in Transit Insurance.

Additionally all their drivers are professional and fully trained to carry out a meticulous 25-point vehicle inspection before they load any vehicle onto one of their many trucks. This ensures it reaches its destination in the same condition as when it left. They even go the extra mile and offer customers a video call on delivery for extra peace of mind.

Whether it is a vehicle that isn’t taxed and insured, they can move it using trade plates, or a vehicle that's not operational or needs due care and attention while being moved, they are sure to have a recovery truck fully capable for the job.

R&R are extremely proud of the contracts they have for insurance work. Many of the jobs

they have completed through this contract have given them the chance to challenge themselves and think outside the box. The most recent one they have completed was the recovery of a Jaguar which had become lodged in front of a property. The job involved working closely with external agencies, in this case the local housing trust and a structural engineer to ensure that property was safe, and no neighbouring residents were comprised in the recovery of the vehicle. The situation was accessed over the course of a week and on recovery day the team were able to attend the scene fully equip with everything they needed to make sure the job was completed with minimal disruption and in a safe and professional manner. The whole situation was reassessed during the recovery and the vehicle was safely removed allowing the housing team to board up the property and start the re-build process.

By completing complex jobs like this the team have built up many successful relationships with local organisations and businesses, which in turn makes them the go to for recovery jobs time and time again.

Alongside the road side assistance and recovery R&R also have a fully equipped garage facility, with all the latest diagnostic equipment enabling them to quickly assess and diagnose problems. The same levels of care and attention in their work is also applied in the garage side of their business. Their aim is for complete customer satisfaction in all they do. Offering everything from a service, to new tyres, alignment and balancing to more extensive repairs, they are able to give their customers the confidence that they will carry out a quality and professional job every time.

R&R have invested heavily in ensuring they have the right equipment to carry out all our work to the highest possible standards across the whole of their business. This forward thinking investment has allowed them to grow and expand at a comfortable yet admirable pace, becoming a well renowned and well respected name in the industry. Another prime example of how hard work and determination can help smaller businesses flourish and grow.
