What started as a hobby has steadily evolved into something much more. Sam first became interested in RC trucks around nine years ago after receiving his first model truck as a birthday present. From that moment, the fascination with trucks and custom builds began to grow into what would eventually become SC RC Customs.
“I got my first truck for a birthday present and had always liked trucks,” Sam explains. “The ideas for the business started from that.”
Today, every build that leaves SC RC Customs is tailored to the customer’s exact specifications. Sam specialises in Bruder van conversions, as well as Tamiya truck and trailer builds, creating highly detailed and personalised models that showcase both technical skill and creativity.
Like many successful businesses, SC RC Customs continues to grow through passion, hard work, and word of mouth. Since beginning work for other people last year, Sam has seen steady progress and increasing opportunities, giving him confidence about the future of the business.
“Not sure on where I want to be in the future,” he says, “but it’s just been growing since I started working for other people last September. If it keeps growing, it’s something that I will start to do full time and keep pushing on to make it bigger and better.”
