Inspired by Freedom: The Story Behind Twin Revolution

For third-generation trucker Andy James, being around trucks and life on the road has always been part of who he is. At 45, Andy has held his HGV licence for 22 years, following in the footsteps of both his dad and brother, who were drivers too.
It’s easy to see why the industry has become such a big part of Andy’s life. He loves the freedom that comes with being behind the wheel and, despite the long hours, sees plenty of positives in the time spent on the road.
For Andy, those hours provide the perfect opportunity to listen to podcasts and audiobooks, allowing him to learn, expand his knowledge and explore new interests while doing the job he enjoys.
Now working for Royal Mail, Andy is quick to praise the working conditions, although he admits that life as a driver certainly comes with its challenges. The hours can be demanding, adapting to the mood and routine of night work can be difficult, and spending time away from family is something that takes adjustment.
Andy is also passionate about the future of the industry and believes changes are needed to attract the next generation of drivers.
“The industry is suffering. Driving standards have dropped in recent years to get more bums on seats due to the shortage of drivers, and this is having a knock-on effect. Changes need to be made to make the industry more attractive to the next generation of truckers.”
Away from the cab, Andy has another passion that has been with him for much of his life, motorcycles and in particular, Harley-Davidsons.
Back in 2023, Andy decided he wanted to channel that passion into a side hustle alongside his driving career. He had spent years buying motorcycle memorabilia and merchandise, but often found himself thinking that he could create something better himself.
So, he started putting ideas onto paper and developing his own designs.
Andy wasn't interested in rushing into business. Quality was hugely important to him, and rather than simply finding a supplier and getting products onto the market, he spent the next two years researching manufacturers, testing products, ordering samples and refining his ideas.
He had a clear vision of what he wanted Twin Revolution to become and was determined to get it right before launching.
That hard work finally came together in December 2025, when Twin Revolution officially launched.

From the beginning, Andy knew that Twin Revolution needed to be about more than simply selling products.
Giving something back has become an important part of the journey, with a donation from every purchase going to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT), helping improve the lives of disadvantaged children and children with special educational needs.
It’s a cause that is particularly close to Andy’s heart as the parent of an autistic son, and raising awareness and supporting children and families is something he is passionate about.
Andy also supports Headway in Salford, a charity supporting people affected by brain injury and their families.
After a friend introduced Andy to the charity and told him about the work they do, he went along to meet the team. He was immediately impressed by what he saw.
During that visit, Andy discovered that Headway could raise funds by recycling ring pulls from drinks cans. He didn't hesitate to get involved.
What started as a collection through Twin Revolution soon grew much bigger, with Andy organising collections through Royal Mail depots across the UK.
The results were incredible.
Within just a couple of months, enough ring pulls had been collected to help purchase a specialist wheelchair for a child living with Spina Bifida.
For Andy, the experience has changed the way he looks at giving.
He openly admits that giving in this way wasn't something he had really experienced before. It wasn't through selfishness; it simply wasn't something he had previously been involved in.
Now, he sees things very differently. Being able to make a genuine difference to someone's life has given Andy a new perspective and, he says, is incredibly rewarding.
Alongside his career behind the wheel, Andy has taken an idea born from a lifelong passion and turned it into something with a much bigger purpose.
Twin Revolution combines his love of motorcycles with his belief in freedom, individuality and equality, while also giving him a platform to support causes that matter to him, creating more than just a brand, it is a movement.
It is still a young business, but with the foundations firmly in place, a growing presence at events and a clear purpose behind Twin Revolution, Andy is excited about what the future could hold.

The story behind the brand is a personal one. Andy’s love of bikes was passed down from his dad, and some of his earliest memories involve being taken out on the back of his dad’s Honda CB250 Superdream.
He remembers the sense of adventure and freedom that came with every ride, feelings that would stay with him as he grew older.
“The day I first saw a group of Harley-Davidsons, my life changed forever. The noise, the excitement, the raw power! They were more than bikes; they represented a way of life that I knew I had to be a part of.”
That experience sparked something in Andy, and over time that spark grew into a genuine passion. Eventually, that passion became the foundation for Twin Revolution.
Built around the ethos ‘Inspired by Freedom’, Twin Revolution is about much more than clothing. Andy describes it as a passion project built around individuality, freedom and equality.
Every product proudly carries the Twin Revolution logo and its distinctive Twin Skulls.
“The Twin Skulls act as a reminder that underneath, we are all equal, and behind the handlebars, we are all free.”
“Twin Revolution isn’t just clothing. It’s a movement. It’s a story of passion, heritage, and the belief that anyone can turn their dreams into reality.”
That message is at the heart of everything Andy is trying to build.
“When I first decided to create Twin Revolution, I wanted to capture those feelings and make them the brand ethos, ‘Inspired by Freedom’. If you have a passion, a spark, no matter how small, you should fuel it, because you never know what can happen.”
Although Twin Revolution operates largely online, Andy is keen to take the brand out into the real world too.
Pop-up stalls at events give people the opportunity to see the products for themselves, meet Andy and find out more about the story behind the brand.
In July 2026, Andy took Twin Revolution to its first ever event, The Great North West Truck Show. It was a significant milestone for the new business and one that proved to be a very positive experience.
The feedback was encouraging, the brand gained valuable exposure and Andy enjoyed the opportunity to meet people face-to-face.
With a second event already booked, he is looking forward to taking Twin Revolution to even more people and continuing to build the name.
